URI Center and The Peace Flag Project Collaborates on Day of Peace Programs.

September 21st is the UN designated International Day of Peace, and the URI Center will once again be planning a celebration on the URI Quad, including the making of Peace Flags by students and campus community members. Ginny Fox, Director of the Peace Flag Project is heading up a full month of programs and activities including Peace Flag Workshops, Peace Art Exhibits, 9/11 Remembrance WaterFire, Community Service, Conversation and Dialogue Session, Heritage Day Festival, and  WaterFire with a Silent Walking Meditation, Peace through Laughter & Silence, and various Spoken Word, Poetry, and Music for Peace artists.
